Dirty Girl and the Hooker...Marigold Centre

Little rug, 5.5x11" I just finished for the show "Dirty Girl and the Hooker, Expressions in Clay and Wool".

I had been thinking it would be nice to have a show at the Marigold for some time. My kids have taken painting lessons, and Spotlight Theatre Camp is held there as well. It is used by Truro Theatre Society and Hub Town Theatre..and the wonderful gallery gives artists a chance to show their work. I always said Truro has four really great things going for it: Victoria Park, Margolians, Walkers and the Marigold. Margolians and Walkers have both closed...so we have to support the Marigold or that will be lost as well.

For the art sold in this show...a percentage will go to the Marigold.

This started off as just a dress. I use to hook dresses when I first started hooking and I thought it would be fun to do one today. But as I hooked, I was like "This dress needs a person in it". Ha! So, I guess it is true, you can't go back.
