"Honey..I am stuck" SOLD

For a rug hooking show at Swoon |Fine Art in March, hookers were asked to pick a work of art from the gallery and create a rug inspired on the art..so I choose Bob Mourney's "Longing"..please go the the Swoon website to see his work ..it is great. So...this is what I came up with.."Honey..I am stuck"..it is 11x20".

Supercat SOLD

Supercat..can leap tall buildings, while scratching someone's eyes out.

Rug in Progress

When I get stuck on a rug, I 'll drape it over the TV and lie on the couch ..and stare at it. The wood stove is also in the room which makes it warm and toasty so...I often fall asleep.

Kitty Ballerina..the sequel SOLD

Another rug had me stumped, so decided to make a ballerina kitty..those are always fun and easy to do. I am going to submit this for the Cat and Dog show at Argyle Fine Art taking place in Feb..keep your fingers crossed!

Make a rug Week

On Feb 3rd. I shall be making it, "Make a rug this week" ..week...so I'll post a pick of the drawing on the burlap on the first day, next day ..take a pic....and another..and another to see the progress. A year in the life of Judy.

I finished hooking summer Judy a few minutes ago..so here they are..a Judy for every season.

Oliver

I hooked "Oliver" in the fall..it was a special request from my photographer, Jody O'Brien. As you know....my rugs are not exactly realistic so this was a bit of a challenge for me. An artist friend helped..and in the end....I am happy with it..and so was Jody, and that is what really matters.

Spring Judy SOLD

I hung her on outside, on the line..to give winter a hint.
Actually, I don't completely dislike winter....I love hoking by the woodstove...but don't love scrapping the car at 7am to get my son to school..guess it is a hate/love thing  I got going with winter.
