I have been busy getting some paper work together..but was able to finish "Lighthouse Sitting" this week..hmmm, green and red, must have Christmas on my mind, and guess I am not quite done with lighthouses...not yet.

Thanks for POPPING in at the POP-UP....I didn't serve POP or POPcorn..but I did sell some rugs, taught a few lovely ladies how to hook...and had some fun chats about bats, chickens and Harper.
I left a few rugs up at Noveltea for a bit, so go take a peek when you have a chance.....and now, I think I'll take a nap on my ironing board.

We have this super newish bookstore/cafe in my lovely town of Truro and I thought it would be cool to have a pop-up. So, I shall be at Noveltea with rugs for sale this Saturday Nov.29th, 10-2pm. Come on in, have some tea or coffee, buy a book, buy a rug. I will bring my hooking for those interested in a demo..its going to be a hoot!

In Lighthouse Legacies, Stories of Nova Scotia's Lightkeeping Families by Chris Mills, there is a photo of a Coast Guard helicopter taking away the belongings of George Locke, the lightkeeper on Cross Island. De-staffing. Now I worry we are in the de-lighthousing phase.

Photo Shoot

This last batch of rugs will be off for a photo shoot this evening. I have brushed their teeth, combed their hair..gave them nice outfits, and yet, I worry I will trip and drop them in a puddle and their pictures won't turn out so great.

Interview questions

A very nice woman sent me some interview questions to answer for the local paper and one of the questions was,

Professionally, what are your goals?

My answer...

I have always wanted to have a solo show and I recently found out that the proposal we submitted was successful. So, that is going to take place at the Mary E.Black Gallery in Halifax in 2016. Another goal I have is to write a book about my rugs and I have made an attempt and quickly came to the conclusion I would prefer someone else write the book. It's good to know when to delegate.
