Just finished this one...so, yes, my lady in black with the red boots is washing her outfit...and it is the only outfit she has..hence the slip. :)

Ideas are flooding in...

I have over 20 sketches for rugs...it doesn't usually work like this, but for some reason the ideas keep coming. I am grateful.

This rug was giving me a bit of grief..but in the end, we worked it out and it's all good. Ha! Another title I was thinking of was "Bat Girl". HA!

Mermaid

I had never hooked a mermaid before..but then I remembered...."Ok, Laura..you have hooked fish and women..stick them together girl"! I don't do commissions much but an artist friend wanted a mermaid..we did a little trade..I got a yummy horse painting and she got a ..mermaid.

Last Monday I dropped my son off at school and then I noticed this poor Mom. She was pushing a stroller and had two little ones in tow..she looked beat. I started to think..no wonder Moms stay at home..so hard to get everyone dressed and out the door...and then this image popped in my head.
