Company was coming and Judy didn't have any flowers..so, she grabbed the first pretty things she saw and plunked it in the vase.

I made this piece after seeing my 14 year old daughter in make-up for the first time. I remembered when I first wore make-up and my Dad asked, "What's that one your face!!? and I quickly wiped it off. So when I saw my daughter, I had the same reaction...but I didn't say anything. It was a feeling of, "Oh my goodness, you are growing up!

This rug went thru a few changes...the ballerina dresses were originally pink and gold..but didn't feel right...and of course! They had to be lighthouse colours!..and then everything fell into place. I posted this pic on my facebook page..and boom! it was sold a couple hours later. Thank you facebook..thank you buyer.

Reverse hooking

Hope you all had a lovely Easter.
I was working on a piece originally titled "Judy..feeling ballerinish" ...but then the ballerina dresses didn't look right..so after a whole lot of reverse hooking (taking out what you have hooked) things are going in a better direction..will post a pic when done..which could be Friday April 10....or May 1.. if I have another day like today...no worries.
