I have been thinking about Maud Lewis again....maybe as it is near Christmas, the season Maud loved. If you are on twitter, check out @LKenneyrugs as I am posting a few of my Maud rugs..reminding people that the film Maudie was not a documentary.

 It is tricky when you base a movie on a true story.

There are many people alive today that are upset by Maudie...they knew Maud and Ev..and about the Poor Farm. They didn't like the sugarcoating that went on in the movie.

I am so grateful to the women who first took a feed bag, ripped it open, and hooked with worn clothing so many years ago.

And, here is to the women today who continue to push rug hooking in new and exciting ways....keep going ladies.
