I have three at Visual Voice Fine Art in Truro.

Judy's Wedding Day

Judy was looking thru some old pics of her wedding day. Her cousin Larry was the minister and the camera guy ..and well, it is hard to do two things at once...and her husband got left out of the shot. Note: Little Trudy was born one month later....Judy told everyone she was 8 months premature..and they bought it...or so the story goes.

Deanne Fitzpatrick

I just got back from Deanne Fitzpratrick's shop in Amherst.
I had broken my hook so I was in need of a replacement.
I walked out of the shop with a new hook...and well, a few other things.
It was like going to the grocery store when you are hungry.
I am so grateful for Deanne.
She was the one who got me started on this rug hooking path.
So grateful.

On the Line

I found some very nice brown plaid wool skirts at Louis' yesterday..added some yellow dye..and ta da!.. I have some yumminess to hook with.

I won't be able to do NSDCC this year.

Crow..on a boat

This crow on a red boat went to Lunenburg for the NS Folk Art Festival..and he came back to Truro..with his head hung low....he is 21.5 x8" and 185$. Let me know if you would like to purchase this crow ...this lonely, sad, dejected crow...that needs a home.

Hey..long time no chat. We were away..now we are back.. and I am gearing up for Folk Art Festival, August 2, 12-4, Lunenburg....Judy is a bit behind so she is going to get her butt in gear and hook like a crazy lady for the next three weeks.

Gallery 215 SOLD

Gallery 215 had it's season opening yesterday in lovely Selma, NS. There was a great turnout..the parking lot was full..so full that I managed to park in such a way as to block others in..s'cusie! This piece was purchased is off to Alberta...thank you!

Little Rugs

I am bringing these little fellas (4x5", 35$) over to Novel Tea Cafe in Truro later today and will bring some over to Gallery 215 in Maitland tomorrow. They are kinda cute and if you have a narrow wall space you want to spruce up with some colour..hey, this might be an answer.

Camera not working

Hey, I was going to post a pic of some wool I had dyed that was hanging on the line...but got a communication error on my camera when tried to upload images. Tech. gliche. I'll get it sorted out.

 I am in the midst of doing so many things ..getting rugs ready for Gallery 215..getting rugs hooked for Folk Art Festival..getting rugs hooked for Mary Black show....gardening...taking care of kids...the to do list never goes away. But, it is all good...happy to be able to hook...happy to have children..happy to garden...it is all good.

Happy Mother's Day SOLD

I made this piece after seeing my 14 year old daughter in make-up for the first time. I remembered when I first wore make-up and my Dad asked, "What's that one your face!!? and I quickly wiped it off. So when I saw my daughter, I had the same reaction...but I didn't say anything. It was a feeling of, "Oh my goodness, you are growing up!

This rug went thru a few changes...the ballerina dresses were originally pink and gold..but didn't feel right...and of course! They had to be lighthouse colours!..and then everything fell into place. I posted this pic on my facebook page..and boom! it was sold a couple hours later. Thank you facebook..thank you buyer.

Reverse hooking

Hope you all had a lovely Easter.
I was working on a piece originally titled "Judy..feeling ballerinish" ...but then the ballerina dresses didn't look right..so after a whole lot of reverse hooking (taking out what you have hooked) things are going in a better direction..will post a pic when done..which could be Friday April 10....or May 1.. if I have another day like today...no worries.
