I drove to Wolfville today to meet with Steven Rhude and have a chat with Elissa Bernard, arts reporter for The Chronicle Herald. We had a lovely chat and the article will be in the paper..well, perhaps on Saturday..will keep you posted.

De-lighthousing SOLD

In Lighthouse Legacies, Stories of Nova Scotia's Lightkeeping Families by Chris Mills, there is a photo of a Coast Guard helicopter taking away the belongings of George Locke, the lightkeeper on Cross Island. De-staffing. Now I worry we are in the de-lighthousing phase.

I am a lighthouse, it is your call.

Rugs went on a road trip.

On Saturday..me, my husband, my two lovely children, two cats and 17 lighthouse rugs went to the valley to Harvest Gallery in Wolfville. And now, the rugs are in Laurel's capable hands and ...just four more days till the opening. YES!

Photo Shoot

This last batch of rugs will be off for a photo shoot this evening. I have brushed their teeth, combed their hair..gave them nice outfits, and yet, I worry I will trip and drop them in a puddle and their pictures won't turn out so great.
