Mom and Daughter - SOLD

There is a very nice mom and her daughter that I usually see at the NS Folk Art Festival and they always buy one or two of my rugs.. I remember the mom was wearing this very pretty orange dress last year...and I remember feeling badly for her as it was a very hot day and she had been waiting in line for a long time. I hope they are back again this year..and that it isn't as hot.

This is what Hooker's Heaven Looks Like

The way I collect wool is to go to Louis and Frenchies every Monday ( 2 for 1 day) during the Fall and Winter months. Maybe, if I am lucky I 'll find a wool blazar or skirt a week. But look... look at this!!!!!! Just look at it!!!My Mom's friend gave me four garbage bags of wool!!!! Imagine four garbage bags full of your favourite thing. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!

Hooker's Heaven

A friend of my Mom's got in touch with her as SHE WANTED TO KNOW IF I WANTED 4 BAGS OF WOOL. YIPEEEEEEEE! SO , OF COURSE MY MOM SAID YES, AND SO LAST NIGHT I WAS GOING THRU THE BAGS ..IT WAS LIKE HITTING THE WOOL MOTHERLOAD...SO VERY EXCITING..CAN'T STOP YELLING ABOUT IT.

Nice Couple - SOLD

There is a very nice couple who comes to the NS Folk art Festival every year. We usually chat and often they will buy one of my rugs. They live in Ontario and summer in NS...and I hope they are back again this year so they can see the rug I made of them.

It is a good day to dye..some wool.

I had to do the dishes to make room for the wool...hee hee. I ended up with some super yummy colours and because I am just winging it, I never know what is going to happen but it is all good today. It is nice and sunny, so I 'll get these on the line to dry.

Rugs on Floor for Folk Art Festival

I just wanted to see how things were coming along for the Festival, so all rugs came off the wall and onto the floor. ..and I determined I need to make some smaller ones.

Little Red Boat for Folk Art Festival - SOLD

Just finished this little boat and the Festival is just 7 weeks away! I have been a little distracted with Rug Harper but I  am on track for having over 40 new pieces for the Festival which will be in Lunenburg, Aug, 5 2012 12-4pm.

The Town of Truro just passed a law allowing residents to have chickens, goats and even a cow if you have a large lot..But, no roosters...so I 'll have to settle for this hooked rooster.

Finishing Stephen Harper

Just going to iron and then work on the finishing of Harper. I thought it would be fun to take a bunch of photos of Harper. Harper on the door, Harper in the hammock, Harper in the tub, Harper in the garden... I think you get the idea.

The kids are off school in three more weeks so after the "Harper photo shoot", I want to make a quite a few smaller rugs for the NS Folk Art Festival..so I need to concentrate on that...focus Laura.
